FORD MODEL "A"
1930 Ford Model A Hot Rod
This custom Model A Ford was built by car creator Rick Cresse. Rick constructed this very cool chop top for himself, but has decided to part with it. This 1930 Ford Model A hot rod sports a flat head Ford V-8 motor, Navarro alloy flat head covers, and a Cragar blower over twin two-barrel carburetors.
Unlike so many fiberglass imposters today, this beauty has an all steel body. Even the top cloth roof has been replaced with full steel. The top of the cab has been dropped by a few inches, giving the car a “mean” custom look. The frame has been boxed in and finished in a high gloss black along with the rest of the undercarriage.
Steering is provided by a Schroeder rack and pinion unit, and the steering column is a tilt wheel unit built by Tri-C Engineering. It has a manual transmission that shifts on the floor and there is plenty of leg room even for tall guys over the six feet.
This ride sports early Ford style spoke rims and radial tires. The car has a very fresh motor and running gear and is reported to be a very good runner. It is currently registered and will be selling with a clear California title.
