MUSTANG

1946 Mustang Colt

Mustang motorcycles were produced in Glendale, California by the Gladden Corporation from 1946-1965. The first run of Mustangs used the Villiers 125cc 2-stroke engine, with dual exhaust port cylinder. It featured leading-link front forks for front suspension, and seat springs to cushion the ride of the hardtail rear end. The classic peanut gas tank and twin exhausts, make this first year beauty a must have for any serious collection or museum. This beautifully restored, first year Mustang holds the prestigious position of being the “National Show Winner” at the “Mustang Motorcycle Club of America” event some years ago. The bike has been in a private collection on static display and will need a full service prior to operation.
