HARLEY DAVIDSON
1948 Harley Davidson UL
1948 was a milestone year for Harley as it signified the final year of Springer forks on the “Big Twins”. It also marked the end of the 74ci and 80ci flathead engines that had been produced for decades prior. In today’s world, locating a perfect example of the last year UL is almost impossible, and to come across one so well preserved and decked out with nearly every factory accessory is an absolute once in a life time opportunity that should not be missed. Rather than writing up a long winded description for this motorcycle, I will let the photographs and walk-around video do the talking! Built over many years, this fully restored beauty sports all of it’s original sheet metal, correct year speedometer and the proper Skyline Blue paint scheme. So. Cal. motorcycle builder Pat Taylor restored many award winning Harley Davidson’s throughout his career and he mentioned that this UL was especially difficult to complete. It took many years attending swap meets and reaching out to a long list of contacts to source the many original, period correct Harley Davidson accessories that make this bike what it is today. This motorcycle has been on static display and will require a full service prior to running. Selling with a clear California title.
