1923 Harley Davidson J Model and Sidecar

In 1922 the Milwaukee factory walked away from the military “Olive Drab” livery that they had been using since 1917 and introduced the new “Brewster Green” paint scheme for 1922 and 1923 only. After that, the factory, still having an affinity to green, introduced the new “Olive Green” paint which stayed with them until 1932. In the antique motorcycle world, any time a dark green color is seen on a part or a classic HD on display somewhere, the Brewster green is a dead giveaway for the production year. The 1923 J Model that we have available is a true rough rider. This bike has proven itself with a first in class award for completing the grueling “Cannonball” rally from a couple years back. Fitted with modern wheels and a front brake, this old girl has been re-freshened and is again ready for another long outing or for a good weekend ride. Included in the sale is the matching Harley factory sidecar along with the original front wheel and rear wheel rim and a small collection of extra parts as well. The Harley J Model’s are becoming very desirable and if anyone wants to brave the cross country Cannonball excursion, look no further, here is your bike set up and ready to go!
