HARLEY DAVIDSON

1960 Harley Davidson FLH

For the 1960 model year, Harley offered four versions of the Duo-Glide, one of which was the high compression FLH 74ci. which was called the “Super Sport” model and was offered with a foot shift or hand shift option. The foot shift model was actually listed as an FLHF, the “F” at the end indicated the foot shift option, but surprisingly, the “F” was never stamped in the engine case. This very nice example has been completely restored using the correct 1038CP hardware throughout and was painted in the correct Skyliner Blue and Birch White livery. Other options include front and rear crash bars, original black “bubble bag” saddle bags, luggage rack, remote oil filter and a nice black leather solo seat. The motor and gear box have undergone a complete rebuild and the motorcycle has very few miles on it, as shown on the restored original speedometer. This is a very nice motorcycle that has not been overly restored.  It shows the very appealing look and feel of how it would have come out of the factory well over 60 years ago.
