1968 Harley Davidson FL Police Custom
Originally owned by the Phoenix, AZ City Police department, this old girl was pressed in to commission until it’s retirement in 1978. At that time, it was sold at the police auction and fortunately went in to the hands of a true Harley enthusiast. In 1978, the motorcycle was pulled completely down and rebuilt to the owners taste as a mild custom. Since that time and over the past 44 years, the bike has gone through a number of rebuilds as well as cosmetic changes to fit the style and era and ironically was sold and bought back twice by the man who bought it at the auction. Luckily, this early generator Shovelhead has never been molested or scattered to the wind and has always been professionally restored and maintained through the years. The motor cases are weld free with clean VIN and lower mating numbers, the frame has never been cut or raked and other than the typical wear items, the motorcycle retains the majority of the OEM components as it did when it left the factory. Currently, the the motor is running an S&S carb and a Cycle Electrics regulator for dependability and was last freshened up in 2021 with new seals and gaskets. This well sorted out beauty is ready for it’s next owner and new adventures, and is selling with a clear Colorado title.
