Most of us who grew up in the late 1960’s through the 1970’s remember the first motorcycles that we lusted after. Here in So. Cal, we grew up idolizing the Yamaha 250 MX, then on to the Triumph Bonneville or possibly the Sportster. Once we aged a bit, many of us turned our attention towards Harley’s big twin FLH for cruising and, for the hot rodder’s, the trimmed down FXE. The first two year models of the Super Glide incorporated a fiberglass ” Boat Tail” seat and fender combo, which in today’s world of collecting is a “must have” for any serious Harley collection. With that said, this very nice second year model could easily be converted back to stock if one wanted to take the time to do so. Myself, I like the very streamlined look of this mild custom which includes a wide glide front end, custom wheels and extra added chrome work throughout. Along with the custom work, the complete Shovelhead engine and drivetrain has been professionally gone through and this bike is ready to go.
