The CB900 Custom was produced by Honda as an exclusive US model only, sporting the 902cc air-cooled DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine rated for 95 HP and four 32mm Keihin carburetors with electronic ignition. The Custom came factory equipped with a Select Range 5-speed transmission and enclosed shaft drive. The Select Range 2-speed sub-transmission gave the big cruiser 10 forward speeds, low range for city and close course use, and the high range setting for the long cross country interstate travels.
